The executive approved, on Thursday, the contract of a loan worth 10 million euros from the Development Bank of the Council of Europe (ECB), to finance a project that will aim to prevent the separation of the family child and the reintegration of children into families. .
According to the government spokesperson, Oana Marinescu, the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of the Child (ANPDC) will support, with European funds, the development of decentralized community services and the training of the personnel involved in the field of child protection.
The project will run between 2006-2011 and aims to develop the personnel structure at the local level, by training the specialists with attributions in social assistance.
The total estimated cost of the project, without taxes, is 14.3 million euros, of which 10 million euros the ECB loan, three million euros the contribution of Romania, 1.2 million euros the contribution of local authorities and 100,000 euros from donors. .
The beneficiary of the loan will be the Ministry of Labor, and the ANPDC will implement and monitor the project.
In the negotiations with the BDCE, the Romanian side will be represented by the Ministry of Public Finance. The loan will be granted for a period of 15 years, of which 5 years grace period.
