The influence of the entourage

Question:

- My son has some friends that I don't really like. And I'm afraid of the influences it might have on him. How do I not be tempted to smoke or take drugs for example?

Answer:

One thing you can do to remove your son's temptation for tobacco or drugs is to have a serious discussion with him.

One thing you can do to remove your son's temptation for tobacco or drugs is to have a serious discussion with him.
Explain to your son what the adverse consequences of tobacco and drug use are, give him examples. Always maintain an open attitude towards your child and do not resort to verbal threats related to possible consumption.
As for his relationship with those friends you do not like, you can approach this subject directly with your son trying to set out clearly and sincerely the reasons and fears related to them.
At the same time, show your interest in getting to know them better, perhaps by encouraging the child to bring them home on different occasions.

Listen to your child and give him your confidence until proven otherwise.
Good luck!
